Proton Theatre's Kafka adaptation premiers in Marseille
On 27th November, Kornél Mundruczó's new production has its premier within MuCEM, Musée des Civilisations de l'Europe et de la Méditerranée's theater program in Marseille. In the Penal Colony, made for objects of the museum, is based on the short stories of In the Penal Colony and The Great Wall of China by Franz Kafka. Its main charachters are a traveller and an officer who meet in the transit zone of the port of Marseille. The play stars Lili Monori and her daughter, Rozália Székely, its dramaturg is Dóra Büki, the scenery was made by Márton Ágh. In the Penal Colony will soon have its Hungarian premiere too.
